05th November 2023 — Reigning champions Kampala Queens FC through their captain Zania Namulema beat the mukono based UCU Lady Cardinals in the FUFA Women’s Super League (FWSL)

The game held at Kampala Queen’s home ground MTN Phillip Omondi stadium started at 10:00 am.

UCU put up a formidable performance through their winger Sandra Kisakye and their captain Apio Faith in the first half.

However, that was not enough through a corner spot kick the Kampala Queen captain found herself a chance to beat the opposition goalkeeper in the added minutes of first half.

In the second half after a team talk from the Kampala Queens head coach Sam Charles Ssenyange aka Kadidi improved their positioning in the midfield.

In the 60th minute Kampala queens made their first substitution as Catherine Nagadya (7) created way for Zainah Nandede (20)

UCU defenders were still composed despite the dominance by their opponents in the first quarter of the second half thanks to their Captain Apio Faith, Atimaku Nicole and Aloyo Peace who denied Kampala Queens striker Fazila Ikwaput chance in the thier half.

UCU lady Cardinals coach Godfrey Magoba made his first substitutions as Winfred Atimango replaced Mable Kusasira, Mercy Amoding came in for Catherine Nakirigye in the 75th minute.

In the 79th minute Hadijja Nalongo denied a strike from the Kampala queens midfielder Shamira Nalugya.

Later, former UCU Striker Hasifah Nassuna came in for Shamirah Nalugya, Damali Matama in for and Sumaya Komuntale for the Kampala queens.

UCU Made their final substitution in the 89th minute as Mbwali Bridget replaced Nakongolo Jovia to put an attacking threat on the hosts

In the added 3 minutes, UCU Had a few chances though they were unlucky courtesy of Kampala Queens Defence.
